About this property

Welcome to Innisfail Ski Hill

Innisfail Ski Hill is a modest ski resort located at 60 St, Innisfail, Alberta. It offers a community-focused setting ideal for beginners and families, with an emphasis on affordability and accessibility. The hill is particularly suited for children and those new to skiing or snowboarding, supported by helpful volunteers and reasonably priced rentals.

The facilities are basic, with essential amenities such as restrooms available on-site. Skiers and snowboarders use a tow rope to ascend the hill, which some guests find challenging, especially younger children or those with weaker grip strength. Several visitors have noted the tow rope’s impact on gloves, recommending durable hand protection for the ride up.

With a 4.3 rating across 47 reviews, feedback highlights the friendly volunteer staff and the resort’s role as a valuable community resource. While some prefer more advanced lift options, the volunteer-run and non-profit nature of Innisfail Ski Hill keeps prices reasonable and supports an inclusive atmosphere geared toward casual and family-friendly outings.

The resort is also appreciated as a year-round recreational spot, with visitors enjoying the surrounding area even outside the winter season. Innisfail Ski Hill is a practical choice for locals seeking quick ski sessions or a gentle introduction to winter sports.

great place to learn or get in some quick weeknight runs. Tow rope needs good gloves though as their are no handles.

So fun! Great discounts for locals. Wear cheap mitts wrapped with a layer of duct tape for the tow rope!

Reasonably priced small hill that's great for the kids to learn on, or just for a fun afternoon. The way back up is a tow rope, which is hard on gloves and can be tough for the younger kids to figure out, but its simple and works.

It's good for the little hill it is. I would rather pay more and go up a t bar personally. I don't like the tow rope and don't have the finger/ hand strength for it. It's volunteer ran though and non profit so it's great for what it is.

Volunteer run club. Great addition to the community. Check out their Facebook page for hours and days of operation and whether the weather conditions have caused interruption of service. Very reasonably priced and rentals of skis and snowboards are available.
